ABOUT THE MUSICIAN
"This one goes to Eleven!" - Spinal Tap
Welcome to my website, my name is August Kuhn. I was born in Connecticut, grew up in New Hampshire, and I currently reside in Georgia. I'm currently enrolled to Savannah's College of Art and Design, getting my B.F.A. in Sound Design and my M.F.A. in Music Production. I've been playing guitar for over six years and been making my own music for three years. Music is one of my, if not my biggest passion. Growing up as an only child I had to find a way to express myself in ways that weren't video games. Music was something that I have always had an interest in ever since a young age. One of my first concerts was seeing RUSH back in 2012. Since then I've been to over 50 different concerts, seeing well over 100 bands. Life is too short to not pursue your dreams, and for me, music lets me catch them.
SENIOR YEAR TALENT SHOW
To give an insight to myself playing guitar, here is a short clip from my senior year talent show in high school. I'm playing the Free Bird solo by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I had practiced the solo alone for a good month before knowing that I wanted to play it in the talent show no matter what. It still gives me an adrenaline rush when I watch it to this day.
